What’s the point to know… if we don’t transmit ?

For a long time, we mainly asked to elites to learn, to be educated, cultivated, « savant ». It is the – rare then – engineer, doctor, lawyer, professor knowledge that guarantees valuable and sustainable social positions.

Then, mainly in companies, under the pressure of performance and results, it has become a matter of developing the skills rather than the competences.

In a world even faster, more complexe, more intersecting, where knowledges are more available and the competences less sustainable, the interpersonal skills – the « soft skills » – become progressively essential. And it is determining.

But can we be satisfied with it ? Because if the current world calls indeed for high qualities of adaptability, that means real learning capacities… the transmission is its cornerstone ! The transmission-knowledge will finally become decisive…

Entrepreneurs, leaders, managers : what is well conceived can be transmitted even better. And only what is transmitted can fertilize the future…
The post What’s the point to know… if we don’t transmit ? first appeared on Transmission Lab.

CREATING a firm it’s already transmitting a conviction, an idea, a vision that, little by little, turn into either project, teams, products or tangible services…

BEING A MANAGER in a firm is again transmitting to one’s collaborators the will to develop, innovate, fight the risks…

DEVELOPING, rise, grow up, it’s always transmitting the collective will to see further together, to conquer much larger territories, spaces still unexplored…

Then, why, when it’s about transmitting this time the firm to the a new generation, employees, a buyer, does the owner-manager’s creator energy tend too often to dissolve and disappear ?

The owner-manager’s mission is indeed always a transmission, on each step. Prepare to the everyday life the future of one’s company is then a necessity, as essential as positive.

We all are in need of growth, and we dream about a sustainable growth for our firms.
What could be more legitimate ?

But, to be truly possible, and on a long-term plan, the growth supposes that we think the transmission too ! That means that we should know straightaway the firm far beyond our inner ambition horizon…

If we are not on our guard, the transmission is unavoidably going to happen, and always too quickly. If we did not prepare it, perspectives risk not to be the same, and the defense of our ideas, values, staff member, projects, even more unpredictable.

For our intention to be truly transmitted, and thus sustainable, we must ensure its continuity. From now on, for the best. Because it is our œuvre and our property.
The post There is no sustainable growth without anticipated transmission first appeared on Transmission Lab.
